Roping Team at the Gate

 Red Rock State Park, NM
June 2001

Dear Jake & Amelia,
We camped at Red Rock State Park. We chose a shady site between two cottonwood trees. Red cliffs rose up behind us. When we checked in at the Outlaw Trading Post, we learned that a team roping competition was taking place in the Arena. We watched. We couldn't figure out how they roped both hind legs at once.
